My father used to own a shop beside the river <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many of my earliest memories originated there <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The shop is still there but has been repurposed <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is now used by an estate agent<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Behind the shop where the stables used be <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A block of three riverside apartments were built <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are actually rather nice and built with care <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I own the ground floor apartment which was bequeathed to me <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A small single story cafe faces and is reached by a small path <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is very popular and is well run by Mike and Dawn <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am not aware of the names of the couple who live above me <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I know that the chap works in the fashion industry <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local gossip notes that he is often in Paris and Milan <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dawn has told me that she has seen the girl wearing gorgeous dresses<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that she is frequently on their terrace tanning her perfect legs <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Christian Group own the top apartment but they are rarely there<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For some reason a glass lift with views over the river was added <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has an obvious function but I do think that it was added for effect <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A feature that I do like is that each apartment river side <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Has an illuminated sign noting the number of the apartment <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They are rather out of place and unnecessary but softly chic <\/p>\n\n\n\n
