For many years I have studied the skies over Richmond hoping to catch a sighting of an Albatross
It is unlikely that I will ever see an Albatross over Richmond
The same be said of the cops
A couple of weeks ago I witnessed something daft on a busy road leading out of a town of some thirty thousand people in Sussex
Two rather nice looking horses were being ridden by a couple of blonde bimbos with coloured bibs
I am not sure if they were breaking the law as in the countryside this is a common sight
Horses and cars obviously do not mix and it can be seen as an accident just waiting to happen
I see the people who ride horses on dangerous roads rather like the Lycra Fascists who insist on riding on pavements
As far as I am aware cycling on pavements is against the law
Yet for some reason riding a horse on a road is not against the law which is crazy
I know that the cops were contacted as there was a potential for an accident
Did they show up
No
The Lesser Spotted Cop is becoming a rare creature
Possibly they were solving a dreadful hate crime somewhere or something just as important
Who knows
I actually popped into the local cop shop to report what I had seen as it concerned me
But it was longer there and was bring turned into some rather nice flats
A notice told me that I should contact 666 or something but only during opening hours (are crimes only committed during these daylight hours)
This said I recently cut through the local Pride Fair as The Green is a short cut and to my great surprise saw at least a dozen cops near their brightly coloured wagon
These were the most cops I had seen in one place since the last Chelsea v Arsenal game I attended
Were all these stories about the cops being politicised and run by odd looking women with funny haircuts a mere scare story highlighted by the naughty boys or the far right
Two Tier policing what the **** is that
Although my pen has been light this is one of the reasons that the cops are having such a bad time of things at present
I actually like the cops as most decent people do
I have in recent years I have met a few people who once served in the police force and when I could asked them why they had resigned
Their answers were very similar

I despair as until common sense is used it is only going to get worse
Especially with the current government in place
