Up the fire watcher tower<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is easy money really easy money<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As all we need to do is report a fire<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And its approximate location <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We very rarely spot anything that is interesting <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So we amuse ourselves in various ways<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On hot days we work quite naked <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The uniforms were designed for December <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At other times we just sing together <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or throw things from the tower <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sense of boredom <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Can be overpowering especially on wet days<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We always try to share shifts <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we know each other very well <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perhaps too well that is the danger <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I hope that we do not end up disliking each other <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our relationship is based on the shift patterns<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes days pass without us seeing each other <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have been known to spend nights in the tower <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which is against the rules but nobody cares <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a quite magical occupation <\/p>\n\n\n\n
High above the trees sharing the stars <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One day all of this will end <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paige and I will go our separate ways <\/p>\n\n\n\n
