I had a dream <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A very strange dream <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I hardly featured in my dream <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My name is Edgar Allen Poe <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doorman and Cloakroom Attendant <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A large American company <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Had booked out the Huntingdon <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To celebrate the founders birthday <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was a splendid affair <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With no expense spared <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everything was free <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This said there was were uncomfortable undertones <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which had in my view similarities to the Harrad Experiment<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This obviously was not my scene <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I am the Son of God <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The greater idea was for the employees <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No matter their station <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To be paired off for a long weekend <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They would be expected to share everything <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or nothing at all <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony was from the Accounts Department <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And he was paired off with Nichola <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who he knew slightly from the Media Department <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To break the ice it was suggested <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That the swimming pool should be used <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tomy was a little reticent about this <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As he thought himself too skinny and pale<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nichola had no such qualms <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And he found that the group adrenaline soon conquered his shyness<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A formal dinner followed <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each employee was expected to bring a Christmas card <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even though May was only three days old <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later I chatted to Tony<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whilst I waited for the Night Porter to arrive <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He hold me that his twin had become inebriated quite quickly<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which was unusual as she was of formal character<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She told him that her cat was named Bradford <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that she looked forward to sharing their room <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many possibilities might have presented themselves<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But no advantage or liberties were taken <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She had thrown up and asked him to share her bath <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her party dress was left soaking in the sink <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He had left her asleep in the bed deep of her dreams <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And returned at intervals whilst I was on duty <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My dream ended with Tony and Nichola <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sleeping in each others arms <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Night Porter had called in sick <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trust is a wonderful thing <\/p>\n\n\n\n
