When I was in Canterbury I witnessed an incident <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I suppose it was an amazing piece of theatre <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In short there had been an altercation <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Between a motorist and a lycra fascist <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As far as I can see it was caused <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When the chap in the car discovered <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That he was being filmed by a camera <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which was attached to the cyclists helmet <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am not sure who was at fault <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Long story short the lycra fascist <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Was punched on the nose <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And his hemet minus the camera <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Was thrown into the river with Ophelia <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although I did nothing <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A couple of Guardian readers became excited <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They called it a hate crime <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It did occur to me that the hate crime <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Was in fact the lycra outfit the cyclist was wearing <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The useless cops were soon on the scene <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even though Canterbury appeared to be infested <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With illegals and the general detritus of society <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I must say I am becoming quite fond of hate crimes <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a way it is a new form of entertainment <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I was a girl it used to be queer bashing <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But now there is much more variety <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which can only be for the good <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I saw you at the airport yesterday with Josie <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You seemed to be in the company of three gorgeous women <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I think one might have been Sephine but who were the others <\/p>\n\n\n\n
