Painted on the wall above the cables<\/p>\n
The carriage was crowded<\/p>\n
But no-one else noticed it<\/p>\n
Which puzzled me<\/p>\n

Two girls were living together in an apartment<\/p>\n
They loved each other<\/p>\n
But they loved music more intensely<\/p>\n
Quite often the taller girl<\/p>\n
Would sit at a piano and play<\/p>\n
The smaller girl who was working too hard<\/p>\n
Would sit back and close her eyes<\/p>\n

In a short-dream between stations<\/p>\n
I dreamt that I was running down a narrow lane<\/p>\n
Towards a busy main road<\/p>\n
The lane was enclosed by red brick walls<\/p>\n
Much weathered<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In the seats opposite me<\/p>\n
Two nuns are reading Nabokov\u2019s Lolita<\/i><\/p>\n
They are a mother and daughter<\/p>\n
And are being punished by the church<\/p>\n
For sharing the same lover<\/p>\n
