{"id":2831,"date":"2016-11-21T13:09:11","date_gmt":"2016-11-21T13:09:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stuartmillerosborne.co.uk\/?p=2831"},"modified":"2016-11-21T13:09:57","modified_gmt":"2016-11-21T13:09:57","slug":"swedish-masculine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stuartmillerosborne.com\/index.php\/2016\/11\/21\/swedish-masculine\/","title":{"rendered":"Swedish Masculine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i>Run Anais run <\/i><\/p>\n<p>I said as I sat on the wooden bench in the sauna<\/p>\n<p><i>Whatever for I am enjoying the heat <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>And it is so cold outside <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The mythical monsters <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The mythical monsters have invaded this sauna<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>It is snowing outside <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Roll in the snow and cool down <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>You have become overheated <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>And leave you here with the mythical monsters <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Go Peter go <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Run Anais<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Run Anais<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Run Anais<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We were driving through the cornfields near the coast<\/p>\n<p>Although we could not see the sea<\/p>\n<p>Its reflection danced in the clouds<\/p>\n<p>The effect was soothing<\/p>\n<p>Although Anais had been consumed by the mythical monsters of the sauna<\/p>\n<p>She was still sitting next to me eating boiled sweets<\/p>\n<p>Her skin was flawless<\/p>\n<p>Mine was not<\/p>\n<p>My pores were beginning to become blocked<\/p>\n<p>Sores would appear<\/p>\n<p>I would resemble a pizza<\/p>\n<p>People would be cruel<\/p>\n<p><i>Not if you go to the beach with me Peter <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The sun and the sea will help your skin <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>And there are no mythical monsters <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Just over an hour later we were on the beach at Kyrastadd<\/p>\n<p>It was more crowded than usual owing to the warmth of the season<\/p>\n<p>But was nonetheless relaxed<\/p>\n<p>I greeted the mayor and his wife<\/p>\n<p>And later his mistress<\/p>\n<p>Our doctor and his daughter were also there<\/p>\n<p>As well as my brother\u2019s sister<\/p>\n<p>We sat alone near the rocks at the end of the beach<\/p>\n<p><i>Come in Peter the waters warm <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>That is unusual for this time of year <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Fool it is always warm at this time of the year <\/i><\/p>\n<p>I joined my sister in the clear waters that led to the Murnow Delta<\/p>\n<p>A northerly mermaid appeared<\/p>\n<p><i>What brings you this far north mermaid? <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>My name is Lola <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>But just call me Lola <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Join me on the rocks in half a day and I shall tell you<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As we returned to our home through the ripening cornfields<\/p>\n<p>I pondered on what the mermaid had told me<\/p>\n<p>Mermaids cannot take saunas<\/p>\n<p>They are too dry and could corrode their scales<\/p>\n<p>But mythical monsters no<\/p>\n<p>If they did exist then would they not be in the sea<\/p>\n<p>Because that is where life started and where it is likely to end<\/p>\n<p>That evening I sat in the sauna with my other sister<\/p>\n<p>I felt confident<\/p>\n<p>So I invited all my sisters<\/p>\n<p>The mermaid was correct<\/p>\n<p>No mythical monsters appeared<\/p>\n<p><i>There are no mythical monsters <\/i><\/p>\n<p>I said gleefully to Nysee<\/p>\n<p><i>There are but you cannot see them <\/i><\/p>\n<p>She said to me<\/p>\n<p>A few days later I was sunning myself on the rocks near the delta<\/p>\n<p>When Lola appeared<\/p>\n<p>Her back was bleeding<\/p>\n<p>She explained that she had been attacked the previous evening<\/p>\n<p>Whilst strolling along a beach<\/p>\n<p><i>Do not worry the local toughies caught and lynched my attacker <\/i><\/p>\n<p>I cleaned her wound and called for assistance from my sisters<\/p>\n<p>Soon she was tucked safely in bed<\/p>\n<p>In the hotel that my family owned<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That evening I went to the beach and found the corpse of the attacker dangling from a tree<\/p>\n<p>Fearing contamination I doused the corpse with petrol<\/p>\n<p>And set the tree alight<\/p>\n<p>I did not recognise the attacker<\/p>\n<p>His origins were not local and I wondered what had caused him to attack a beautiful mermaid<\/p>\n<p>As the fire consumed him he opened one eye and said<\/p>\n<p><i>It was not me but the mythical monsters <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>But I gladly took the blame as I admire them so \u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>I waited until the attacker and the tree were piles of charred ash<\/p>\n<p>My sister appeared<\/p>\n<p><i>You are such a good man Peter so caring <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>It was the least I could do <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>He was a human being and had once been loved by others <\/i><\/p>\n<p>She kissed me on the cheek and then ran down to water\u2019s edge<\/p>\n<p><i>Are you going to swim?<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I might <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Then be careful of the mythical monsters <\/i><\/p>\n<p>I watched as my sister swam for an hour<\/p>\n<p>Later we sat next to each other<\/p>\n<p>And she warmed herself by the small fire<\/p>\n<p>Just before dusk Lola joined us<\/p>\n<p>She had fully recovered<\/p>\n<p>She stared at the ashes of her assailant<\/p>\n<p><i>I would like you to smother me in his ashes <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Why? <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>No reason I just wanted to be close to him as he took my virginity <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I had hoped that you would but this misguided man bloodied me <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Nely and I smothered the mermaid in her assailants ashes and carried her to the sea as her land legs had grown weary<\/p>\n<p><i>I will be back quite soon <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Thank you for your love <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I will not forget you <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A week later I was again in the sauna with five of my sisters<\/p>\n<p>The other twenty-three were in the hotel laying tiles<\/p>\n<p>In time for the winter season<\/p>\n<p>Betti my eldest and largest sister was sitting opposite me<\/p>\n<p>She had once been a mermaid<\/p>\n<p>But had opted for work in the hotel<\/p>\n<p>I watched as she rubbed the impurities from her skin using a rough cloth<\/p>\n<p><i>This is one of the problems of being fat <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Impurities become hidden between your folds of skin <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>But at least the mythical monsters will not attack you <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>There are no mythical monsters Peter <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Then why has Lola not returned? <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I saw her on the beach yesterday<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>She is heavy with child <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Her attacker\u2019s child?<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Possibly <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That evening I constructed a time machine in the sauna<\/p>\n<p>And travelled back six years<\/p>\n<p>I found Lola&#8217;s attacker quite easily in the backstreets of the main city<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the railway<\/p>\n<p>I had travelled with a mythical monster<\/p>\n<p>Who on my command ripped the poor man apart in a parking lot<\/p>\n<p>In my haste to return to the present<\/p>\n<p>I left the mythical monster<\/p>\n<p>At the scene of our crime<\/p>\n<p>This haunted me<\/p>\n<p>As I knew that the mythical monster would want revenge<\/p>\n<p>The following day I met the mermaid on the beach and told her what I had done<\/p>\n<p>She insisted that I returned to the hotel and wait for her<\/p>\n<p>At four in the afternoon she entered my room<\/p>\n<p>And we made love watched by eight of my sisters<\/p>\n<p>But I did not impregnate her as she was barren<\/p>\n<p>I knew the reason why but was scared to return to the parking lot<\/p>\n<p>As I knew that the mythical monster would be waiting for me<\/p>\n<p>So I did nothing and watched as Lola grew more and more beautiful<\/p>\n<p>Mermaids do not age as we do but on the appointed day just fade<\/p>\n<p>When they reach the height of their beauty<\/p>\n<p>I had to act but was a coward<\/p>\n<p><i>Run Anais run <\/i><\/p>\n<p>I said as I sat on the wooden bench in the sauna<\/p>\n<p><i>Whatever for I am enjoying the heat <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>And it is so cold outside <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The mythical monsters <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The mythical monsters have invaded this sauna<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>It is snowing outside <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Roll in the snow and cool down <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>You have become overheated <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>And leave you here with the mythical monsters <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Go Peter go <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Run Anais<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Run Anais<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Run Anais<\/i><\/p>\n<p>My smallest sister left the sauna and rolled in the snow<\/p>\n<p>She knew what I was about to do<\/p>\n<p>Within seconds I was in the parking lot<\/p>\n<p>The remains of Lola\u2019s attacker were scattered everywhere and were putrefying<\/p>\n<p>The mythical monster stared at me<\/p>\n<p><i>So you have returned <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I had to as Lola does not have long left <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>You left me here scattered all over the parking lot <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>You attacked the mermaid and now she is barren <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Do I care?
