Friends do not normally vanish<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I thought you had suffered an accident <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But there was no record of any distress <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deep down I think that you chose to vanish <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even though we were good friends <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I wish I knew <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is the not knowing that haunts <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are reading this Penelope Perry <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or whatever you are called now <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just give me the tiniest clue <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tell me that all is well <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I will I promise not follow this up <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I still live in Bristol <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not far from my old house <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am happily married to Jill Dean (remember her) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are both teachers in the city <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And up to recently I played non league football <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jill still loves singing in her choirs <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I also write for a living (as you can see) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I do hope that even if you do not reply <\/p>\n\n\n\n
