I am reviewing a book by Hamish Gome <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short it is about a Venezuelan girl called Ann who was charged with the murder of her stepfather <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That sounds a bundle of laughs <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is an interesting book <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tell me more <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For many years after her fathers death Ann lived with her mother in reduced circumstances in Caracas <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then her mother met an American diver <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was an absolute brute who began to pester Ann but she totally ignored him <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This brute threatened Ann by saying that he would take her dependent mother back to the US if she was not kind to him <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So in theory she would be homeless and would end up on the streets <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What about the mother <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She had fought a serious habit for many years and was easily controlled <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This sounds dreadful <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ann could not face the idea of being on the streets again so she shot her stepfather in the neck with his spear gun <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What happened to her <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not much <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She contacted the cops and explained what had taken place<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But instead of dragging the case through the courts they ignored Ann and logged the stepfathers death as just another suicide <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some suicide <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They saw something in Ann that would make their lives easier <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She became the White Widow <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This seems to be from a movie <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I assure you that it is true <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So you are saying that she was in the pay of the cops to terminate the scumbags in the capital <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yes the perverts the scumbags the bullies in short men who just hated women <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Was the plan a success <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Very much as the exploits of the White Widow became legendary <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was just over five foot tall and was a schoolteacher who would suspect her<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A woman so ordinary as to be invisible <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where did it all go wrong <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She killed the son of an industrialist who was a pervert and violent at the same time <\/p>\n\n\n\n
His fathers money kept him out of reach and he was never charged <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ann made her first and only mistake as she sliced the perverts dick off and stuck it down his throat <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was a spectacular hit and his father began to pull strings <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The White Widow was beginning to come into view <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was only a matter of time <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Was she caught <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No she was disappeared <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Murdered <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No far from it <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was killed in a car crash <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sorry Joe you are confusing me <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She died in a real but fictional car crash <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A tragic accident <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sweet schoolteacher who was smaller than some of her pupils was no more <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes you wonder if there is a God <\/p>\n\n\n\n
What really happened <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was spirited across to the US as she still had many uses<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mother <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mother sadly died<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was only a matter of time <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where is Ann now <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you watch the news <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Occasionally <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is a small blonde member of the Vice Presidents team <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her name is Karin Muller <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Does she seem familiar <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A little <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is half Venezuelan and half German <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Karin lost her sister and identical twin in a car crash <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is something that she chooses not to remember <\/p>\n\n\n\n
