Some show women from over forty years ago<\/p>\n
With Juliet Greco in their eyes<\/p>\n
Their black hair is cut quite short<\/p>\n
It is again chic you know to wear your hair <\/i><\/p>\n
And show your neck <\/i><\/p>\n
Other posters more sinister show faded photographs of the missing few<\/p>\n
Were they ever found I ask?<\/i><\/p>\n
I would not like to think of them dead <\/i><\/p>\n
A steel door must be opened to visit this beach<\/p>\n
It is closed today and heavily guarded<\/p>\n
A few beachgoers wait patiently looking cold<\/p>\n
One does not swim in the winter I think <\/i><\/p>\n
How ridiculous of them <\/i><\/p>\n
To think they could <\/i><\/p>\n
My dream is fading<\/p>\n
I can hear the traffic now<\/p>\n
And feel the dryness of my breath on my pillow<\/p>\n
I may return to this subway<\/p>\n
But doubt if I will<\/p>\n
As when I visit the beach again<\/p>\n
I will use the palm path like everybody else<\/p>\n
