{"id":3030,"date":"2017-01-19T18:12:51","date_gmt":"2017-01-19T18:12:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.stuartmillerosborne.co.uk\/?p=3030"},"modified":"2017-01-19T18:15:55","modified_gmt":"2017-01-19T18:15:55","slug":"the-rice-field","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stuartmillerosborne.com\/index.php\/2017\/01\/19\/the-rice-field\/","title":{"rendered":"The Rice Field"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Horses <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Two unnamed horses were leaning over a fence<\/p>\n<p><i>There used to be a railway here<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I know it was closed down many years ago <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I suppose the reasoning was the jockey\u2019s welfare <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Explain <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Well jockeys are by nature small people <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>And the railway owners were worried <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>That they would have become lost and disorientated <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>If the service continued <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>That seemed a good reason to close the railway <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Cold War <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Two farmers were walking towards the town<\/p>\n<p>The stopped outside of a scrapyard<\/p>\n<p><i>This is a graveyard of buses <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I know they have used this area for years <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Since the Cold War ended<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I wonder why they scrap buses <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>It seems incredible to me that they do so <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>If the Cold War starts again <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>And we are heading that way <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>I wonder what they will do with all these buses <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>It will be a problem as there are so many <\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>The Rice Field <\/b><\/p>\n<p>In a rice field two peasants were discussing sea-horses<\/p>\n<p>Their day had finished and they were walking towards their homes<\/p>\n<p><i>I cannot see what attracts these creatures to the rice fields <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>They are so graceful <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>They must be attracted by the coloured towels that we bring with us each day <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>That is a possibility <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>When I was a child and my mother and father worked these fields <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>There were no sea-horses then<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>What has changed in thirty years?
