I had been travelling for nearly six hours <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And was aching for a coffee and a hot pastry <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My train would stop at Station Three <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For thirty minutes whilst the crews were changed <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I stretched my legs on the busy platform <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The wind unlike the south was very cold <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I soon returned to the train <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was then then that I noticed a girl <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wandering and looking into the carriage windows <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As if she was looking for someone special <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was certainly not dressed for the weather <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wearing only a thin track suit top and scruffy jeans <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When she reached my window she stopped <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bowing discreetly and then held up a copy of my latest book <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The train started to move but the girl stayed still <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I said that I would sign her book when I next visited her town <\/p>\n\n\n\n
