We both came from families <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of six sisters and two dogs <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had known Margaret Jones forever <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But we never slept together <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even though we shared holidays <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And sometimes bathed after long walks <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It just did not seem the right thing to do<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Margaret worked in a Swansea museum <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whilst I was unemployed self employed <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then she left our recent history<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without too much of a discussion <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We met up from rime to rime <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But mostly kept in contact by letter <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then these faded and stopped <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I later found out that she had married Juliet <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exclusion was hurtful and unexplained <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I still live in my home city <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But have not yet met anyone special
