The construction workers treated us well <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And were for the most part respectful <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we were the only girls for many miles<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Newton Issac was our unofficial leader <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And was in charge of our money <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He had been an accountant or so he said <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And then one day he was not there <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We had been left in our desert commune <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With very little money and even less food <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cuba was no more just some shacks <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where once we had alternative dreams <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before I returned to Frisco I cut my hair <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And stole some clothes from a vacant garden <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was presentable again a bit rough by presentable <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My folks took me back in after a long lecture <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And now I work in a real estate office <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where everybody just calls me Sally Anne
