Always turned a small profit
After the abandonment of this part of the arm <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The shop and the canal side offices were demolished <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of the wharf buildings were however retained <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And later turned into houses as the village expanded <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Much of the canal has now been returned to nature <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With only the two Mary Bridges still in daily use <\/p>\n\n\n\n
