Yet this all fades as one descends into the valley <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The village is hidden for much of the route<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are clues but these are often tree shrouded <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is a small settlement unchanged by time<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Typically there is a church an inn and little else<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The railway station now long closed is returning to nature<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A river choked at source now runs summer dry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although these woe waters have been known to flood<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And release all manner of subterranean demons<\/p>\n\n\n\n
