Recent I walked past<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A second hand bookshop <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the high street <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And saw a biography <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of the Duke of Edinburgh<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the window <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This brought back memories <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I had participated <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an outward bound hike <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Brecon Beacons were chosen <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And off we went in bright sunshine <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was paired of with a girl from Dorking <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Named Elizabeth Earnshaw<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who was nicknamed <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wobbling Liz <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because of the size of her bust <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She was in proportion <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the exception of her boobs <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which were huge <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had occasion to see them once<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whilst I was reading Walt Whitman <\/p>\n\n\n\n
in the long grass beside a stream <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I think that she had done this deliberately <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As she knew that in later years <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That I would write a series of poems entitled <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Erotic Poems of Summer <\/p>\n\n\n\n
