Today I purchased a book of Tagore’s poetry <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was a random find Josie <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had not planned to buy this book <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then why did you buy it Joe <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because Tagore interests me <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I admire his poetry
We were planning to meet Sephine <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But she had been delayed <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We agreed to split and you chose <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To meet her in town and share a coffee
As I had been suffering from a cold <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I chose to visit the beach <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the sea breezes were soothing <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I arrived I found a family from India <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Flying their colourful kites
Without being trite I had not expected <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To see a family from India <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On this the most English of beaches <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They were obviously visitors <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And it was nice that they were here<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enjoying their games and recreations
Yet the coincidence screamed at me <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even though I had expected <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My day to be linear <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Things had happened <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To damage the straight line
I had randomly decided to visit the beach<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I had randomly purchased <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A book of poetry by Tagore <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The family who were flying their kites <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Were from India <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tagore was from India <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our connection had not been planned<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was a pure coincidence <\/p>\n\n\n\n
That we were sitting only yards apart <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was reading an Indian poet <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And our visitors were from India
