As part of my early life <\/p>\n
I travelled a great deal <\/p>\n
I often travelled without my pen <\/p>\n
So I had to memorise<\/p>\n
Many of my imagined lines <\/p>\n
I was frequently helped<\/p>\n
By the generosity of others <\/p>\n
Who furnished me with all<\/p>\n
The items of my requirement <\/p>\n
And then I became totally lost <\/p>\n
After being washed up in error <\/p>\n
I was lost for over seven years<\/p>\n
On what was little more than a island <\/p>\n
Which was surrounded on all sides <\/p>\n
By sweeping fields of golden corn <\/p>\n
Many of those who cared for me <\/p>\n
Searched in vain without any luck <\/p>\n
In time I was given up for dead<\/p>\n
But I was very much alive <\/p>\n
And then on one misty morning <\/p>\n
A small local train <\/p>\n
Arrived without fuss<\/p>\n
