Where have you been Silly Boy

In Calne

Calne

Where is Calne

Japan

You are teasing

Everybody knows that Calne

Is a small country in South Asia

What were ewe doing in Calne

Writing the Biographia Literaria

And a few poems plus a play

You have been a busy boy then

Did you get around

Not really as the thirty-three was cancelled

What were your poems about

This and that and Hugh my Ewe

Hugh is a masculine name

I know

Ewe’s are adult female sheep

Especially ones old enough for breeding

Are ewe hiding something from me

As my mummy has been very happy recently

I would not shag your mum

Even if she was the last car in Hull

Ewe and Eye have grown very close

We share many similar interests

Such as

Firebombing butchers shops and table football

Are your poems prose

Repeat you question

It is a nice name I agree

You can call me Repeat for short

My poems are not prose

As that focuses on arranging standard language

In the most effective and clear sequence

Could you not have caught the thirty-four

That is not a Devizes bus

Also even if it did run it would be late

Repdigits or monodigit routes are far more reliable

A poem demands a higher level of selection

Where every single word and its placement must be exact

Does Ewe the Hugh live in Calne

No she lives next to a great castle

In a large meadow that occasionally floods

Is she happy there

No she lives in nearby field

I have not discussed the concept

Of happiness

With either Hugh or her children

As I have previously noted

The meadow does tends to flood

Does this harm the lambs

Yes the ones

That do not go to market

Often drown

Or become deep sea divers
