When she was a child Sarahe Shakespeare Easte would spend a good deal of time playing on the gravel and tar hills that could be found in most lay-bys<\/p>\n
She admired the rigid structure of these hills and how they did not attract vegetation<\/p>\n
Her father ran a burger van not far away and in the evenings they would collect cats-eyes that had been hopelessly injured on previous days<\/p>\n
Such was her beauty as a young woman<\/p>\n
That motorists often stopped to ask her if she was a super-model<\/p>\n
But she thought that her sister was more beautiful and she concentrated fully on engineering during her university days<\/p>\n
By the time she was thirty she had designed ten bridges<\/p>\n
Each more daring that the other<\/p>\n
But she never forgot the gravel and tar hills of her childhood and always incorporated lay-bys and burger vans within her radical designs<\/p>\n
