Had Israeli posters<\/div>\n

Advertising toothpaste<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Whilst showering<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
These posters remained<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Uninterested in me<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On the final day<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I travelled around<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The city alone<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
As many do<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Metro Odeon<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Is quite ornate<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
But it feels<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Modern<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the street<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It was thirty-two degrees<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Hot enough for June<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Was a movie<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Made in the sixties<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
You should have<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Been here in September<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Which is three days<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Away<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the distance<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Notre Dame<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Smoulders in the heat<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
People are still weeping<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Into their cameras<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
As I walk along<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The tree lined<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Avenue<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I look at the shuttered<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Apartments<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And wonder<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
About the illicit<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Fucking<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Taking place<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the cool<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
High Rooms<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Only the shadowy<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Trees<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Know the truth<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I stop and look<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Around me<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I have discovered<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The happiness of<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The last few days<\/div>\n

What lies in front<\/div>\n

Of me I wonder<\/div>\n

But this thought<\/div>\n

Soon fades<\/div>\n

As I cross<\/div>\n

The Green Avenue<\/div>\n

Without injury<\/div>\n

The Bouquinistes of Paris<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Sell books<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And other items<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
From<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Green Book Boxes<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I intend<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
To buy a book<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
That is saturated<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
With the juices<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Of the city<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I find a paperback<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Nexus<\/div>\n

Still chic<\/div>\n

Collapses in the heat<\/div>\n

But she is soon<\/div>\n

Revived<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
That was the only<\/div>\n

Incident<\/div>\n

That shocked me<\/div>\n
