My name is Margit Kaufman<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I have been in jail for twenty-eight years<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
My crime was that I was considered to be a terrorist<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In that time I have faced thirty-two penalties<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And have saved nine of them<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I have also invented a new brand of sticky toffee<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
There is talk of my release<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
There is always talk of my release<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Six years ago I fell down a flight of stairs<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I broke my arm<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It was badly reset and because of this it is not straight<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I received compensation for this neglect<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It no longer hurts but my writing has changed and is childlike<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I have spent over three thousand nights in this prison<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And have changed cells twelves times<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I can see the cathedral from my current cell<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It brings me peace<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
My favourite colour is pink<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I am allowed to wear my own clothing<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This privilege has been earned for good behaviour<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
My sister has given me two pink blouses and an olive sweater<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
They were all made in Taiwan<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Every so often I give interviews but I am thinking of abandoning this occupation<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
As I have nothing further too say<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
If I am released I plan to live on a farm and write books on animal husbandry<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On my cell wall I have a print of the execution of William Tyndale<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It was given to me by a friend<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I often talk to him about God and about facing penalties<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
And the quiet science of creating sticky toffee<\/div>\n
<\/b><\/p>\n
