I am in bed with my beautiful wife<\/p>\n
But neither of us is asleep<\/p>\n
As we are sharing a coffee<\/p>\n
Which we hope will wake us up<\/p>\n

It is sunny outside and still quite warm<\/p>\n
But the temperatures are slowly fading<\/p>\n
In a matter of weeks the cooler winds will arrive<\/p>\n
Accompanied by the soft slate skies<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My wife is no longer in our bed<\/p>\n
She is taking her morning shower<\/p>\n
I take the opportunity to ring my sister<\/p>\n
Who is waiting for a train in Southampton<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We discuss the weather and other events<\/p>\n
She tells me that it is cold windy and wet<\/p>\n
And that her train is ten minutes late<\/p>\n
Due to congestion further up the line<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I tell her to jump on the first plane to Spain<\/p>\n
But she declines the offer as she has settled into a pattern<\/p>\n
Which will only be broken in late December<\/p>\n
When she visits us to celebrate Christmas<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My wife has returned from her shower<\/p>\n
With a crimson towel wrapped around her waist<\/p>\n
I hand her my phone and return to my coffee<\/p>\n
Which has lost its heart and now tastes bitter<\/p>\n
