I had been walking the streets of Paris for over an hour in search of my friends<\/p>\n

It was the time of festivals and the city was alive with theatre<\/p>\n

I was near La Defence when I first saw the Passion of Christ<\/p>\n
\n
It was performed by an actor in a bloodied loincloth and two actresses<\/p>\n
\n
The whispered performance was drawing some attention as the actresses were topless<\/p>\n
\n
I watched them for while and then noticed that another was being performed nearby<\/p>\n
\n
This theatre was repeated many times as I made my way across the city<\/p>\n
\n
Sometimes Christ\u2019s loincloth was bloodied and in other performances it was pure<\/p>\n
\n
But the poetry was always identical and the pain was constant<\/p>\n
\n
It was as I approached the district of St Martin that I saw my friends<\/p>\n
\n
They were engaged in a performance of The Resurrection<\/p>\n
\n
I watched them enter the tomb and emerge soon after<\/p>\n
\n
