We sleep with an extra blanket on our simple bed<\/p>\n
As time seems to drag its sadness around<\/p>\n
I beachcomb as you write<\/p>\n
It is a lazy but rewarding occupation<\/p>\n
And passes the time without demand<\/p>\n
We now dine in the late afternoon instead of the evenings<\/p>\n
The food tastes the same<\/p>\n
But the theatre is different<\/p>\n
As people rarely smile<\/p>\n
They fear the clouds<\/p>\n
That bring the night<\/p>\n
To this the most exotic of islands<\/p>\n
When the warm winds return<\/p>\n
You will have finished your book of flowers<\/p>\n
And we will laze the days away<\/p>\n
Not caring at all about the bleak winter thoughts<\/p>\n
That currently occupy our island lives<\/p>\n
