From the window of my hotel<\/p>\n

I can see the streets<\/p>\n

Under a deep sea of light<\/p>\n

It seems as if the city has flooded<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Buses cars and pedestrians<\/p>\n

Can be seen and almost touched<\/p>\n

Busy under the bright surface<\/p>\n

Of the false sea beneath me<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The effect has of course<\/p>\n

Been created with a purpose<\/p>\n

By the many festive lights<\/p>\n

That hang high above the gleaming streets<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have been seduced this busy tableau<\/p>\n

It is so pleasing to me<\/p>\n

That I find myself in a fond isolation<\/p>\n

Watching the tides come and go<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
