I am looking out of a window<\/p>\n

At a world that does not see me<\/p>\n

The birds feed<\/p>\n

At their crowded table<\/p>\n

Each day<\/p>\n

The woman feeds them<\/p>\n

With a feast<\/p>\n

Which they eat and enjoy<\/p>\n

Each night the pretty lights<\/p>\n

Sparkle and shine<\/p>\n

Through my window<\/p>\n

I want my life to be free<\/p>\n

I look at a family<\/p>\n

In the garden next door<\/p>\n

And wonder why mine<\/p>\n

Does not exist<\/p>\n

They seem happy and carefree<\/p>\n

Not knowing I am here<\/p>\n

Each night<\/p>\n

I hear the first steps of my carer<\/p>\n

The door opens<\/p>\n

And sleep begins<\/p>\n
