devoted to the clay fields<\/p>\n
where the itinerants now rest<\/p>\n
cared for by the decendents<\/p>\n
of clockmakers<\/p>\n
who once created time<\/p>\n
but do so no more.<\/p>\n

When the comet moon passes<\/p>\n
an orchestra will play on its tail<\/p>\n
and the day will begin<\/p>\n
under the trees<\/p>\n
where a sunbird now sleeps.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
In the shadows of this river<\/p>\n
Kingfishers will swim in formation<\/p>\n
and search for sunspots<\/p>\n
that are collected by clocks<\/p>\n
as alms for the dead<\/p>\n
who spend their years<\/p>\n
counting the days<\/p>\n
of the sunbird.<\/p>\n
