We visited the beach today<\/p>\n

And found it empty and low<\/p>\n

The wartime ruins had been exposed<\/p>\n

By the early spring storms<\/p>\n

Having been buried for many months<\/p>\n

I soon found the corroded blade<\/p>\n

Of a long lost knife<\/p>\n

Near the final remains<\/p>\n

Of an unlucky fish<\/p>\n

I returned the poor creature to the sea<\/p>\n

Even though it was past caring<\/p>\n

This made me feel good<\/p>\n

And for the first time in weeks<\/p>\n

I felt at peace with myself<\/p>\n
