I have always maintained a interest in the poetry and life of Lord Byron and attended the Scrope Davies exhibition in London a number of years ago<\/p>\n
The reason that I travelled so far was that Scrope Davies had been a friend of Byron and a number of items associated with Byron were on rare display<\/p>\n
One that took my fancy was a small envelope containing the pubic hair of Lady Caroline Lamb which she had sent to the poet during her infatuation with him<\/p>\n
The very thought that her pubic hair was on public display long after her early death interested me<\/p>\n
It was then that I became aware of a woman of about my own age standing next to me<\/p>\n
She was wearing a pair of faded jeans and a loose white cotton shirt whose buttons had loosened exposing her small pale breast<\/p>\n
Although I did not want to I stole a glance and was caught in my trespass by my neighbour who gently smiled at me before she recovered her modesty<\/p>\n
It was a moment that I knew would embed itself in my memory and now all these years later I recalled it into print<\/p>\n
I still read Byron’s poetry and have not tired of his excesses although I wonder what he would have made of this my short erotic journey<\/p>\n
It is likely that I will never find out<\/p>\n
