On sleepy Kent railway stations<\/p>\n
Surrounded by tranquil fruit farms<\/p>\n
In this the Garden of England<\/p>\n

Although possibly too bucolic<\/p>\n
There is something warm and very acceptable<\/p>\n
About my description of the ideal<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Today I was on such a railway station<\/p>\n
Deep in the Kent countryside<\/p>\n
And yes I was surrounded by fruit farms<\/p>\n
Which were strangely quiet<\/p>\n
Given the geography of the year<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Whilst Caron sat on the shady station seat<\/p>\n
Enjoying iced lime water with a hint of mint<\/p>\n
I explored the tired bookcase in the booking hall<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I soon found an early edition<\/p>\n
Of Brave New World<\/p>\n
Which was written by Aldous Huxley<\/p>\n
Many years ago<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This for some reason made me very happy<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I soon began to think<\/p>\n
That my world<\/p>\n
As I recognised it<\/p>\n
Was not all that brave<\/p>\n
And not very new<\/p>\n
But on days such as this<\/p>\n
I enjoyed it more than life itself<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
