I bumped into a couple of friends at a football match recently<\/p>\n

And noticed that they were holding hands<\/p>\n

Which was odd as both were happily married with children<\/p>\n

In the hours that followed I tried to study my own limitations<\/p>\n

But I still found the idea of male homosexuality distasteful and corrupt<\/p>\n

I then had a cup of coffee in the In\/Out Cafe<\/em> and the whole world felt better<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I later met three French mechanics<\/p>\n

In a small greasy yard and tried to start a conversation with them<\/p>\n

But my French was poor and I think<\/p>\n

That they thought I was an Englishman living in Lille<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I was enjoying Afternoon Tea with my Sun Wife Caron<\/p>\n

When a van driver drove into both posts<\/p>\n

Whilst entering and leaving the yard<\/p>\n

The brute reminded me of Caliban<\/p>\n

But I was certainly not his Miranda<\/p>\n

And regretted his monstrous birth<\/p>\n

After he left I looked at the shattered wooden posts<\/p>\n

Which were over two hundred years old<\/p>\n

And wondered of their unblemished histories<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Not far from the town there is a parade<\/p>\n

Of scruffy local authority houses<\/p>\n

Which at present are the home<\/p>\n

Of a high window banner<\/p>\n

Protesting at the expansion<\/p>\n

Of a nearby airfield<\/p>\n

Quite why these people are worried<\/p>\n

Is open to question although I think<\/p>\n

It is a jealousy of those who have the money<\/p>\n

To fly light aircraft for recreational purposes<\/p>\n

It was only when I drew closer that I noticed<\/p>\n

That the banners had been subtly vandalised<\/p>\n

With another message which read<\/p>\n

Sun’s Out\/Bum’s Out\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Which confused me as it was early March<\/p>\n
