In the summer of 1977 I found myself in a small village not far from Maidstone<\/p>\n

It was whilst I was there that I found a pile of paperbacks<\/p>\n

On a small table outside of a General Store<\/p>\n

I soon found a tired copy of The Stranger by Albert Camus<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We were in the area as we were picking strawberries<\/p>\n

Which was great fun as the summer days were very hot<\/p>\n

I can remember being in a tent with my girlfriend Jane<\/p>\n

Who was sleeping as she was tired after a long day<\/p>\n

For convenience I had propped my book up against her bare bottom<\/p>\n

So that I could listen to the Test Match on my small transistor radio<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Strangely enough this small event engraved itself<\/p>\n

And I often recall it when I am passing through the area<\/p>\n
