My heavenly father told me that Ugolino did not devour his sons but was placed in the ice of the second ring by the poet<\/p>\n

He was trapped in the same ice hole as his enemy Ruggieri who had left him to starve to death<\/p>\n

But Ugolino did not actually starve as he was condemned to gnaw at Ruggieri’s skull for eternity<\/p>\n
