hunched figure in a cloak<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The figure was looking into a valley<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The title of this sketch was Victory<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Have you written any further poems?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Yes<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>There is only one<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>May I see it?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>It is a slightly mysterious and maybe nostalgic poem<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>But I do not think it is very good<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I prefer my poem called Victory which accompanied the sketch<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Would you read your poem to me?<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Yes I will<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>What is it called?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Ceremonies at Sea<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>During my years as a sailor<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I never liked ceremonies at sea<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>As I found them foolish and trivial<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>But now that I have retired<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I often sit in my sea house<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>And listen to the music of the waves<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>And find out that I was quite mistaken<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I rather liked your poem<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>It is your choice but I have always found it rather lightweight and simple<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I thought that the character resembled Captain Cat in Under Milk Wood and that is why I decided not to publish it<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>There are similarities but your character is totally different<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>If you say so<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Where did you set your poem?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Where was the captain living in his retirement?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I never said that he was a captain<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I agree<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>He might have just been a simple merchant seaman<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Now retired<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Yes<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>And looking out to sea with a little nostalgia<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Yes and that is the poems weakness<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I think that is the poems strength<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>That is your opinion<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Your poem reminds me of my childhood<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>When I was a child my parents often took me to a small coastal village called Torcross in South Devon<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Have you heard of it?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Yes it is near Dartmouth I believe<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>It was a dreamlike place in the summer although it often was damaged by storms in the winter<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I used to sit there with my sister<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Creating sandcastles?<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>No it was mainly a stony beach<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>And we would both look out to sea and make up stories of daring and adventure<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>You poem reminded me of those days<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Were there any retired sea captains?<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Alas no<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>I did not see any retired sea captains or for that matter retired sailors<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Maybe they retired inland as they were tired of the sea<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Nobody can tire
