The abandoned lighthouse is turning a dull red pink<\/p>\n

As it weathers under the hot Curacao sun<\/p>\n

It is quite derelict in parts which is a little sad<\/p>\n

As once it brought light to the land and sea<\/p>\n

A solitary white path partially covered by fine sand<\/p>\n

Leads to the tower and the outbuildings<\/p>\n

We are at present sitting in the warm shadows<\/p>\n

Enjoying a coke as it is far too hot to eat<\/p>\n

You are reading Islands in the Stream\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

And I am writing this poem on my salty pad<\/p>\n

Using a pencil that has seen much better days<\/p>\n
