Yesterday I stood next to the rusting tracks of a narrow gauge railway<\/p>\n
It was no longer operational having been closed some nineteen years previously<\/p>\n
In my pocket I had a photograph taken when I was eight years old<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
At that time this little railway was running at weekends and on bank holidays<\/p>\n
I had been treated to a ride between station a and station b and a walk to station c<\/p>\n
It was during this walk with my father and brother that my photograph was taken<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The photograph was taken at the exact spot where I stood for a while yesterday<\/p>\n
In those days there had been a fence separating the railway from the beach path<\/p>\n
But this was now derelict and decaying in the long sand grasses near the crossing<\/p>\n
