Fragments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Before the Storm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For a while I walked the paths<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So merry during the sinful months<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But now they are deserted<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And like me await the storm<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Which is drawing near<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>XYZ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cold wind<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bright light<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The violence of this day<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Appals me<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Fragments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fading warmth of the November sun<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scorches the white bark<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From the decaying trees<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I do not grieve for them<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Fast Trains and the Alleyway as recorded by Michael<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The alleyway I use is partially hidden by a tall steel fence<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It leads to a mundane car park which often used by fathers<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who let their children watch trains in complete safety<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I do not own a car but use this alleyway each day<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I appreciate its safety features and the evergreen bushes<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That inhibit its meandering path<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is late November and the days are surprisingly mild<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The splendid summer does not want to draw to a close<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I advise it to abandon the year and return when the days are longer<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many trains are passing through this station<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They scream obscenities at me<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I almost weep at their exhibition<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A girl called Gillian greets her sister tenderly<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She uses the alleyway each day as she owns a car<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gillian\u2019s sister is on a train that is crossing the river bridge<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She is asleep and dreaming of her sister Gillian<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neither sister is aware that they are only yards apart<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the train roars through the station<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vaslav Nijinsky is performing on the far platform<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are numbered one to five<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no platform six<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is scared of fast trains and I note a nervousness in his performance<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I possess no fear of trains and watch him dance<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I walk away from the railway station towards the car park<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This area is now empty but I feel no regret<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I am the dancer Diaghilev<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Before the Storm For a while I walked the paths So merry during the sinful months But now they are deserted And like me await the storm Which is drawing near &nbsp;
