We had decided to have a free morning<\/p>\n
And spent it on the sandy beach<\/p>\n
Swimming and adoring the sun<\/p>\n
At about noon we went to the violet beach bar<\/p>\n
And sat under the palms<\/p>\n
Enjoying our ice cold drinks<\/p>\n
We chatted for a while to a German couple<\/p>\n
Who had travelled from their home in Dresden<\/p>\n
A few days before our arrival on the island<\/p>\n
An hour or so later we retired from the beach<\/p>\n
As the day had become rather hot<\/p>\n
And shopped in a orange bookstore nearby<\/p>\n
We planned to spend the evening reading in our room<\/p>\n
Instead of watching the sun set as it made us both a little sad<\/p>\n
Jane was reading a book with a red and indigo cover<\/p>\n
Whilst mine was blue yellow and green<\/p>\n
Both were French thrillers<\/p>\n
